Arian currently competes, coaches and judges as part of USA Powerlifting. He has obtained the Senior International Coach certification through USA Powerlifting, been an Assistant Coach on several National Teams and is now the Head Coach of the Sub-Junior and Junior Raw National Team. Arian is heavily involved in all aspects of USA Powerlifting as he is also a member of the Coaching Committee and Raw Committee.
Arian’s lifters have done exceptionally well at all levels of the sport as he has Top 3 finishers at USAPL Raw Nationals, NAPF North American Championships, IPL Worlds and Raw Unity Meet. He has also had multiple USAPL Raw National Champions who have gone on to represent USA at the IPF Raw World Championships, the premiere powerlifting competition for raw lifting. His lifters range from teenage to masters and first time competitors to veterans of the sport.
He has quite a few very talented lifters that he coaches, and I'm very much a beginner in comparison, but he has always made me feel like I'm just as important as the rest of them.
Arian took away all of the anxiety that goes along with having to make decisions at a big meet. I had to think about nothing but lifting the weight on the bar. Until someone does that for you, you have no idea how beneficial it is and Arian is a real pro in that regard.
The good thing about Arian is he has been coached by many of the greats; and he applies all of their great techniques, and methods to his coaching. He listens to what works, what doesn’t, and alters things that will be best and catered to you. I would, and do recommend Arian as an Online coach, or if you are lucky enough to have him as a personal coach.
Arian called all of my attempts perfectly. I went 9 for 9 and did not have more than 5 more pounds in me on any of the lifts. I left practically nothing on the platform. As a result I brought home two silver medals and Bronze overall as well as 5 American records. He got everything out of me that I had to give on that day. I would highly recommend Arian to any serious lifter that wants to perform well at an important meet.
(Coach Arian) I started powerlifting 3 1/2 years ago: state championships, titles, records, Elite standing- however I was still a novice in SO many ways and training under the model of "no pain, no gain" moving from program to program for each competition. It got the best of me (over training, multiple injuries, compromised recovery) and while I was still competing regularly, I lost my drive and love of the sport. A conversation with a fellow lifter and client of Arian's led me to one of the best decisions I've made in my lifting career! From initial contact, his professionalism and extensive knowledge was unmistakable. I felt absolutely confident in entrusting his expertise into my training. His insight, excercise selection and programming has been absolutely fantastic- I'm back to being excited to train, progressing my lifts, enthusiastic about new movements- and with the benefit of Arian's tremendous experience and direction, I look forward to future successes on the platform!
When it comes to looking for a coach, you want someone who is accessible, provides feedback and analysis of your lifts, and treats you no different than they would their world-level elite athlete, or beginner lifter. Arian checks off these requirements and more! I’ve been with Arian for almost 2 years now and through setbacks and surgery, he has provided adjustments to weekly (and even daily) workouts, is available for instant feedback and updates, and takes his job (and your prep) seriously. If you want a real coach that won’t send you cookie cutter programs, or is only available during certain hours on certain days, give Arian a try. He is fully committed to your long term growth as a lifter.
